PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pneumatic tire with a static elimination function by cutting strip tread rubber formed by extruding unvulcanized rubber into a length of the outer circumference of a tire, and sticking a tape of conductive rubber on a belt layer from one end of the tread rubber to the other cut end face thereof so that the tape may ground static electricity to a road surface after vulcanization. SOLUTION: After unvulcanized tread rubber 11 is cut in a prescribed length of a tire size, a conductive tape 9 is stuck on the outer surface 12 of the tread in the length direction and one end 13 thereof is joined to a belt layer inside the tread in molding of a tire to be prepared as an unvulcanized tire. Then, this is completed as a vulcanized tire. In a process of vulcanization, a groove is formed in a tread grounding part and a conductive rubber layer is formed also in the part of the groove. The conductive tape 9 is made to have a prescribed width and a prescribed thickness in order to avoid lowering of the accuracy in a sticking operation and unstableness of a grounding function, to exert an initial performance of tread rubber characteristics and to avoid formation of a stepped part or a space in joining parts of the opposite ends of the tread. By this method, a pneumatic tire with a static elimination function can be manufactured.
