PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of reading efficiency, the increase of cost, the complication of structure and the deterioration of durability against the impacts respectively by enabling a user to optionally set the swing angle of a mirror that emits the bar code reading light. SOLUTION: The laser beam emitted from a laser diode 21 is reflected on a collect mirror 22 and scans a bar code label via a scan mirror 23. A microprocessor 20 controls a mirror vibration part 24 in response to the operations of the left and right trigger switches 36L and 36R and vibrates the mirror 23 at a swing angle Φ1, Φ2 or Φ3. When only the switch 36L is operated, the angle Φ1 is read out. Then the angles Φ2 and Φ3 are read out when only the switch 36R is operated and when both switch 36L and 36R are operated at a time respectively. The swing angles Φ are adjusted when an increase or decrease key is depressed on a keyboard 30. |
