PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device capable of fully suppressing or preventing an arc between contacts. SOLUTION: This switch device is so structured that a half-conductive state in which a moving contact K1 is conducted to a fixed contact NO 1a through a fixed contact NO 1b and a resistor 21 on the way where the slidable moving contact K1 moves from a conductive state to the fixed contact NO 1a on a power side to a non-conductive state (on a right side of the figure). A resistance value of the resistor 21 is set so that electric current flowing in this half- conductive state becomes a small electric current for not generating an excessive arc between the moving contact K1 and the fixed contacts NO1a, NO1b.
