BUILDOUT SYSTEM USED IN OPTICAL FIBER BUILDOUT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily arrange a buildout lock within any one of plural openings of the same size and shape by inserting and housing a buildout base by a snap fitting type into the panel opening and including any one of the buildout bases of different kinds. SOLUTION: The buildout base 10 consists of an elongated cylindrical body 11 formed around a vertical axis. A pair of mounting flanges 21 which part from each other and face each other are formed in the position of nearly the second end 15 of the cylindrical body 11. These flanges 21 extend outward from the cylindrical body 11. A pair of second mounting flanges 22 which part from each other and face each other are disposed as part of the cylindrical body 11. These mounting flanges 22 are parted from the first mounting flanges 21 for receiving a mounting panel therebetween by snap fitting and face each other. When the second flanges 22 pass the openings of the panel, notches 23 are butted against the edges of the openings and are received in the mounting panel.
