PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine test device which vehicle running simulation can be conducted with good accuracy. SOLUTION: A dynamometer 2 connected to an output part 1a of a sample engine 1 which is to be tested, a dynamo controller which controls the dynamometer 2, and an actuator which controls value-travel of the throttle of the sample engine 1, are provided. Here, the dynamo controller 2 and the actuator are controlled to adjust the output of the sample engine 1. A command based on a temperature pattern 28 acquired based on the temperature data for each part around an engine which is obtained when a vehicle running test is performed according to a running pattern on a chassis dynamo is outputted from a device 1 which controls the entire device to various temperature controllers 21 provided around the sample engine 1.
