PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain display with less flickering when digital display changes in a short time due to the acceleration and deceleration of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The display for vehicle comprises a data change-detecting device 101, a shape information-generating device 103, and a display device. In this case, the display is provided with a delay device 205 for delaying time for transferring numeric data to be displayed to the shape information-generating device by a fixed amount of time, and an optical modulation device 206 for performing specific optical modulation to the output of the display device while a control signal is being outputted for a specific time with timing when the numeric data to be displayed is determined as a trigger signal. At the same time, a means for adding optical modulation to the display for a fixed amount of time when display change has been detected is provided, thus flickering and temporally appearing movement can be reduced at a time of switching-over of a display.
