PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sliding door from collision with a door frame in opening/ closing the sliding door, and to easily and surely position the sliding door. SOLUTION: This stopper device for sliding door comprises a sliding door side stopper 10 provided in a groove part 6 formed in a projecting bar portion 3 of a sliding door 4 along the longitudinal direction, and a lintel side stopper 20 having a collision member 22 which is fitted in a recessed bar portion 2 of a lintel 1, and with which the sliding door side stopper 10 is collided and the sliding door 4 is stopped. A holding mechanism 30 to hold the sliding door side stopper 10 and the lintel side stopper 20 in a releasable manner so that the sliding door 4 is kept in a stopped condition is provided, the bolding mechanism 30 is provided on the sliding door side stopper 10 in a retractable and projecting manner, a projecting portion 33 urged by a coil spring 34 to adjust the urging force by an urging force changing mechanism 50 in the projecting direction is provided, and a pressing portion 40 to press and retract the projecting portion 33 in the moving process of the sliding door 4 and a recessed portion 41 which is continuous to the pressing portion 40 and fitted to the projecting portion 33 is provided on the lintel side stopper 20.
