CARTRIDGE, MULTI-FUNCTION COMPOSITE TERMINAL AND COMMUNICATION NETWORK SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To build up a multi-function communication network that easily and inexpensively composes a TV game machine into a multi-function composite terminal and uses the TV game machine for a communication terminal. SOLUTION: A multi-function including a MODEM function is adopted for a cartridge 20 connected to a TV game machine main body 10. Soft micro codes are used to control functions of a modulation-demodulation circuit and a CPU for a MODEM among an analog circuit, A/D, D/A converter circuits, a ROM, a RAM, the modulation- demodulation circuit, the CPU for MODEM, a power supply for the MODEM and an interface circuit and a CPU for a TV game machine realizes the processing of the codes. A power supply for the TV game machine main body 10 is used for a power supply of the cartridge 20. For the purpose of multi-function, a case 21 of the cartridge 20 is provided with an optical terminal 31a, a MIDI terminal 31b, a microphone terminal 31c, a telephone modular terminal 31d, a video capture terminal 31e, and an IC card insertion hole 31f. A disk drive 60 is mounted on the TV game machine main body 10 and a storage medium M storing a software program accessible to a multi-function communication network is set to the disk drive 60. The cartridge 20 is connected to a communication network via the telephone modular terminal 31d.
