The invention relates to a method for milder oxidative dyeing of keratin fibers, wherein a colorant substantially devoid of common chemical oxidants is applied on the fibers and is rinsed out after an exposure time ranging from 10 to 60 minutes. Said colorant contains at least one developer component of formula (I), wherein R<1> and R<2> independently represent a C1- to C4-alkyl group and R<3> represents hydrogen, a halogen atom, a C1- to C4-alkyl group, a C1- to C4-alkoxy group or a C1- to C4-hydroxyalkyl group. Said method makes it possible to obtain a wide range of color shades with high light and shampoo fastness. |
