PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium battery capable of maintaining excellent discharge characteristics under the low temperature and high load conditions by improving a negative electrode shape to increase reaction efficiency. SOLUTION: This cylindrical battery of an inside-out structure has a negative electrode can 1 having a bottomed cylindrical shape, a hollow, cylindrical positive electrode mix 2 closely disposed in the inner periphery of the negative electrode can 1, a separator 3 closely disposed in the inner periphery of the positive electrode mix 2, a hollow, cylindrical lithium negative electrode closely disposed in the inner periphery of the separator 3, a nonaqueous electrolyte 8 filled in the negative electrode can 1, a ring-shaped sealing gasket 9 fit in the inner periphery of the opening end of the negative electrode can 1, a terminal board 7 fit in the inner periphery of the a sealing gasket 9 for sealing the negative electrode can 1 and a collector 5 electrically connecting the terminal board 7 to the lithium negative electrode. The lithium negative electrode is formed by winding a rectangular metal lithium plate around at 1.25 turn or more. |
