PCI SLOT CONTROLLER EQUIPPED WITH DYNAMIC CONSTITUTION FOR SECTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a system for operating a multiprocessor computer system by enabling only a communication between an input/output connection where input/output controllers belong to the same process section and a system processor, and dynamically allocating the input/output connection to the process section or deleting it from the process section. SOLUTION: After a processor starts a writing process (700), a PHB receives a write request (705) and receives the section ID of the start processor (710). Then the PHB compares the section ID with respective section descriptors of its slot (715). The PHB set ON (usable) respective PCI slots having section descriptors showing that it belongs to the same section with the start processor (720) and makes unusable respective PCI slots which do not belong to the section (725). Lastly, the write request is passed to a target PCI device.
