PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light emitting diode emitting light with high visibility and high wavelength conversion efficiency by providing a light emitting element mounted in the center on the head part of a pin, and a resin being mixed selectively with a material for converting the wavelength of emitted light provided in the vicinity of the light emitting element. SOLUTION: The light emitting diode (LED) comprises a light emitting element 2 mounted on a planar pin 5 or a substrate 3 while being secured and protected with a resin 8 mixed with a fluorescent material 9.
