PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability of an amorphous mark and to deal with a linear speed of a wide range by forming a phase change type recording layer of a specific composition in an optical information recording medium having at least the phase change type recording layer on a substrate such as a high density optical disk or the like utilizing a rewritable phase change medium. SOLUTION: A phase change type recording layer of a rewritable disk such as a high density optical disk or the like is formed of a composition represented by the formula ((SbxTe1-x)yGe1-y)zM1-z, wherein x is number of a range of 0.7<=x<=0.9, y is number of a range of 0.8<=y<1, z is number of a range of 0.88<=z<1, and M is In and/or Ga. In order to record a mark length-modulated information on such an optical information recording medium, a crystal state portion is processed in an unrecorded and erased state, an amorphous portion is processed in a recorded state, and an amorphous portion between recording marks is processed to be irradiated with a recording light of crystallizable erasing power. |
