PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make developer around a developing sleeve have appropriate electrification amount within a specified range and an appropriate polarity in a short time. SOLUTION: As soon as the developing sleeve 74 starts to rotate, a stirring driving motor 132 is driven only for T1 seconds. Thus, 1st and 2nd stirring members 82 and 80 are rotated and the specified amount of the developer supplied from a developer replenishing port is carried to the periphery of the sleeve 74. After the lapse of T1 seconds, the motor 132 is stopped only for T2 seconds (for example, for about 120 seconds) while a main motor 112 is being driven. |
