PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for attaching functional films which easily and inexpensively realizes an excellent contrast and an inhibition of optical halation, even on flat screens, and a pressure- sensitive adhesive sheet for attaching functional films. SOLUTION: This pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for attaching and fixing a functional film onto the image-displaying surface of an image display device, contains a pressure-sensitive adhesive and a black pigment having an average particle size of 0.5μm or smaller. A pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 1 is for attaching and fixing a functional film onto the image-displaying surface of an image display device, wherein a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3 composing the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprises a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a pressure-sensitive adhesive and a black pigment having an average particle size of 0.5μm or smaller. Here, the visible light transmission of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is from 10 to 90%, and the haze value is 15% or smaller.
