CROSSLINKABLE MODIFIED FLUOROPOLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition having improved mechanical properties and useful for fuel lines and fuel hoses by including an acrylic monomer. SOLUTION: This thermally crosslinkable composition is obtained by including a thermally processable copolymer of tetrafluoro-ethylene and/or chlorotrifluoroethylene modified with an acrylic monomer represented by the formula CH2=CH-CO-O-R2 (R2 is H or a 1-20C alkyl) (e.g. n-butylacrylate) and a crosslinking agent. The copolymer of the formula comprises 35-55 mol%; ethylene, 45-65 mol% fluorinated monomer selected from tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene or the like and 1-15 mol% comonomer. It is preferable that 1.0-5.0 wt.% crossliking agent is applied.
