VERTICAL SHAFT VOLUTE PUMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce arrangement height of a vertical shaft volute pump. SOLUTION: An aperture 30c is formed on a spiral casing 30 at outer wall of upper part of a suction port 30a. The lower end of a casing 34 of a reduction gear 32 is inserted and fitted into the aperture 30c. A passage of the spiral casing 30 is thus completed by including the lower end of the casing 34. The reduction gear 32 is attached to the outer wall of the spiral casing 30. A pump shaft 38 is connected to the reduction gear 32. An input shaft 64 of the reduction gear 32 is projected horizontally, to which a driving device is connected. The driving device and the spiral casing 30 are arranged on the same floor.
