PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a construction space-saving, a damper while having construction acting on only a rolling motion component of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This rear suspension device is provided with a pair of left and right suspension arms 2R, 2L supported on a vehicle at one ends thereof, supporting wheels 1R, 1L at the outer ends thereof, and disposed substantially along a longitudinal direction of a vehicle, respectively, and a hollow cross beam 3 disposed in a width-wise direction of the vehicle and connected to the left and right suspension arms 2R, 2L, for generating a torsional force when the left and right suspension arms 2R, 2L swing oppositely to each other in a vertical direction. The cross beam 3 has therein a damper 5 for generating a damping force due to the relative rotation between members. Both members of the damper 5 are connected to the cross beam 3 or the left and right suspension arms 2R, 2L in such a manner that the torsional force of the cross beam 3 is inputted to the damper 5.
