PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curable composition which is excellent in curing properties at room temperature and generates a large elongation after curing by incorporating therein respectively specific amounts of an organic polymer, which has silicon-containing groups comprising hydroxyl groups and/or hydrolyzable groups bonded to silicon atoms in the molecule, and an organic cerium compound. SOLUTION: This curable composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of an organic polymer, which has in the molecule hydroxyl groups and/or hydrolyzable groups bonded to silicon atoms and silicon-containing groups that crosslink by forming siloxane bonds, and 0.01-20 pts.wt. of an organic cerium compound, and if necessary, further comprises other polymers such as butadiene rubber, a curing catalyst such as dibutyltin dilaurate, a filler, a plasticizer, and the like. The organic polymer having the hydrolyzable silicon-containing groups is a polyether and a saturated hydrocarbon polymer that has hydrolyzable silicon-containing groups, and preferably has a number average molecular weight of 50,000 or less. The hydrolyzable silicon-containing group is a halogenated silyl group, an alkoxysilyl group, or the like that causes condensation reaction in the presence of moisture and a crosslinking agent.
