PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive composition which yields a sufficient adhesion strength against rubbers or thermoplastic elastomer molded products, even without conventional treatments such as primer coating, offers a good production efficiency since it requires no long-term vulcanization treatment at an elevated temperature, offers a high safety and allows little deterioration when exposed to an elevated temperature and moisture, and to prepare an adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: An adhesive composition contains 100 pts.wt. SIS block copolymer and from 60 to 200 pts.wt. adhesion-imparting resins as essential components, wherein the SIS block copolymer has a diblock content of from 30 to 80 wt.%, the adhesion-imparting resins include a C5 petroleum resin, and the hydroxyl value of the adhesion-imparting resins other than the C5 petroleum resin is 25 or smaller. An adhesive sheet is prepared by applying the above adhesive on at least one side of a support.
