PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supplying electronic components, using tray feeder by which productivity can be improved by reducing the number of replenishing times of electronic components by increasing the number of electronic components housed in trays. SOLUTION: In a method for supplying electronic components using tray feeder by which pallets 3 holding trays 2, housing electronic components are successively taken out from a magazine 4 and supplied to the picking-up position of the transfer head 12 of an electromagnetic component mounting device, the electronic components are picked up from the uppermost of the trays 2 which are successively piled up on each pallet 3. When the parts in the trays 2 are exhausted, the pallet 3 is moved to a replenishing section 6 while the empty trays 2 and held by means of the transfer head 12, placed on a drawer section 3, and discharged to an empty tray discharging section 4a. Therefore, the number of the electronic components which are put on one pallet 3 by laminating a plurality of trays 2 upon another on the pallet 3 can be increased. |
