PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the scattering and the leakage of toner and the formation of an abnormal image due to them by improving toner sealing ability at both ends of a developing roller. SOLUTION: A thin plate type developing blade 6 whose thickness is <=0.2 mm is supported by a developing case 17, and the free end side of the blade 6 abuts on the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller 5 so as to make the toner carried on the roller 5 a thin layer, and the thin toner layer is stuck by the roller 5, whereby an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor is visualizable. The blade 6 is arranged in the tangent direction of the roller 5 at an abutting position on the roller 5 and provided so that its free end side may face to an upstream side in the rotating direction of the roller 5, and an end seal 19 supported by the case 17 and pushed against both ends of the roller 5 is also pushed against both ends of the blade 6. |
