PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thermal decomposition of sample molecules and to suppress the appearance of cluster ion to attain stable, highly sensitive liquid chromatograph combined mass spectrometry by providing a means for atomizing effluent from liquid chromatograph, and the like. SOLUTION: A sample solution is poured from a pouring port 3, fed to an analysis column 5 by a moving phase 1, separated component by component, eluted and fed to an atomizer 6. Mist from the atomizer 6 is divided to pass separately in a plurality of heated small-diameter tubes 182. Each mist is heated up to its center part by infrared rays from the wall surface of the small- diameter tube 182 to make the mist further fine. Since heating is sufficient, the set temperature of a vaporizer 8 can be made low to prevent thermal decomposition of thermally unstable substance. Solvent molecules vaporized into fine mist by the vaporizer 8 are ionized by an atmospheric pressure ion source part 11 and led into an intermediate pressure part 15. Ion desorbed from a solvent in the intermediate pressure part 15 enters a mass analysis part 18 from a pore 16 and is subjected to mass dispersion and detected by a detector 19 to provide mass spectrum by a data processor 21. |
