PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a natural ground improver of good workability utilizing a polymer elastic gel. SOLUTION: This improver comprises a main liquid contg. a water soluble polysaccharide capable of gelation by a curing agent, and a second liquid contg. either one of curing agents listed below. It is pref. that the medium of the main liquid is a lower alcohol, or the like. (1) an alkali metal ion or an alkaline earth metal ion, (2) boric acid or another boron compd, (3) an acid or an alkali, (4) a specific water soluble polysaccharide which forms a gel by reaction with a curing agent.
