<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mechanical strength and insulating characteristic of a cast resin composition for electric insulation containing an epoxy resin and silica powder, by increasing the affinity between a polymer and a filler by blending an epoxy resin having an alkoxy-denatured polymer terminal in the epoxy resin of the composition. SOLUTION: A cast resin composition for electric insulation which is useful for the connection, etc., of power cables is prepared in such a way that an epoxy resin the polymer terminal of which is alcoxy-denatured by mixing a reactive reagent having an alkoxy group at the time of manufacturing the resin is blended in a bisphenol A epoxy resin at a rate of 0.1-0.5 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. bisphenol A epoxy resin. In addition, silica powder having a mean particle diameter of 1-20μm is blended in the bisphenol A epoxy resin at a rate of 150-250 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. epoxy resin. Therefore, a cable line which has a high mechanical characteristic and can be worked easily can be constituted when this cast resin composition is used.</p> |
