<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic combustor which achieves improvements in ignition and combustion characteristics. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a gas injection nozzle 15 for supplying gas to a catalytic body 13 for combustion, a mixing pipe 16, a shutter 18 provided between the gas injection nozzle 15 and an air intake port of the mixing pipe 16, a shutter moving bar 30 to move the shutter 18 an electromagnetic valve 20 to open or close a gas path, a thermocouple 32 which detects the combustion of a catalyst to apply electromotive force to the electromagnetic valve 20, a shutter holding means 34 for holding the shutter 18 in contact with the air intake port of the mixing pipe 16, and a shutter holding releasing means 35 for releasing the operation of the shutter holding means. This makes air introduced into the combustion chamber 14 less at the ignition time and more during the steady combustion period.</p> |
