<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer capable of forming a good color print inconspicuous in stripe-like density irregularity. SOLUTION: In a thermal printer equipped with a thermal head 1 having (n) (n is natural number of 4 or more) heating elements 41-4n arranged thereto linearly and bringing a recording medium and continuous (m) (m is natural number of 2-n-2) heating elements among (n) heating elements 41-4n into slide contact with each other repeatedly and relatively while driving (m) heating elements to form a color image of at least three colors on the recording medium to perform full color recording, the drive region of the heating elements 41-4n is made different at every color image and the thermal head 1 or the recording medium is displaced in the direction parallel to the heating element row so that (m) heating elements driven when a color image is formed are brought into slide contact with the same region.</p> |
