PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube enabling safety in use by providing a straight-type reinforcement band reinforced with explosion proof characteristics so as to match each panel of a cathode-ray tube applied to a flat-type(FCD) panel and an effective display expansion panel, etc. SOLUTION: In a cathode-ray tube including a panel 100 having a flat outer surface and an inner surface of a predetermined curvature and a reinforcement band 101 bent at each molded match line of a side surface of the panel 100 in the width direction and continuously wrapping the side surface of the panel 100 in the length direction, the reinforcement band 101 is constructed so as to satisfy an inequality 30.16(%)<=D/W×100<=41.27(%), where the total width is W and the width from the front side end to the bent part in the width direction is D.
