PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer for slash molding, having excellent moldability, capable of forming a skin material having uniform thickness free from deformation, etc., elastomer powder for slash molding and a skin material using the powder. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer is obtained by formulating a polyisocyanate such as hexamethylene diisocyanate, etc., with a polyol component containing an adipate type polyester polyol, a urethane polymerization catalyst, a cross-linking agent, etc., and reacting the mixture, rapidly drops a viscosity in melting, has proper crystallinity and is suitable for slash molding. The elastomer is ground by freeze crushing, etc., into elastomer powder to especially give elastomer powder for slash molding having a specific narrow particle diameter distribution. A skin material for interior automotive trim is obtained by using the powder by slash molding.
