PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic treatment apparatus equipped with a safety device that ensures safety and is easy to handle. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic treatment apparatus 3, which exerts a safety device 2 stops or lowers outputs of ultrasonic waves when a conductor 1 outputting, ultrasonic waves on abutting the human epidermis stops moving. The apparatus 3 detects whether or not the conductor 1 has come to a standstill by the electrical impedance change of a vibrator 4 provided on the conductor 11, or by an acceleration sensor or vibration detector provided on the conductor 1 to detect that the conductor 1 has come to a standstill.
