PURPOSE: A caption information storing/reproducing apparatus of a digital television and a method thereof are provided to reproduce information of caption and voice used in multi language when a user want to use the data. CONSTITUTION: A caption information storing/reproducing apparatus of a digital television includes a caption memory(27), a controller(30), an image processor(26) and a voice processor(25,29). The caption memory(27) is used for caption information and corresponding voice information. The controller(30) controls the storing/reproducing operation of the caption information as well as the corresponding voice information. The image processor(26) processes current caption information or the caption information stored in the caption memory in a way of main or sub screen format based on a control signal from the controller. The voice processor(25,29) processes current voice information or the voice information stored in the caption memory in a way of main or sub screen format.
