PURPOSE:To provide such an automobile instrument panel structure as can provide a high design freedom while the securing of an air bag performance and a knee protector function is being realized. CONSTITUTION:A feature at this automobile instrument panel structure arranged with an air bag module 4 on the inside of an air bag lid 2 formed at an instrument panel 1, is that a projection portion 20 jutting outer to a riding member side than an instrument panel 1 reference section is formed at the lower part position of the air bag lid 2 of the instrument panel 1. More concretely, a projecting amount to the riding member side at least on the vehicle width direction end portion side of the portion 20 is made smaller than amounts on portions other than it, and the above portion 20 is constituted with a glove lid 3 provided at the above panel 1. |
