Exhaust gas purifying arrangement consists of a first catalytic unit (3) connected to a third catalytic unit (2), which intermediately stores nitrogen oxides contained in a lean exhaust gas composition and which releases intermediately stored nitrogen oxides with a rich exhaust gas composition. An exhaust gas purifying arrangement for a vehicle combustion engine comprises a first catalytic unit (3) which produces ammonia from corresponding exhaust gas components with a rich exhaust gas composition, and a second catalytic unit (4) connected to the first and intermediately storing ammonia produced from the first unit and subjecting the nitrogen oxides to a reduction reaction using the intermediately stored ammonia as reductant. The first catalytic unit (3) is connected to a third catalytic unit (2), which intermediately stores nitrogen oxides contained in the lean exhaust gas composition and which releases intermediately stored nitrogen oxides with rich exhaust gas composition. |
