Welding is done by multiple-pass method in shielding gases such as argon or carbon dioxide. First pass is carried out with direct working current tungsten electrode and filler wire with chromium plated surface. Second and all subsequent passes, with reverse working current unit fusible electrode made of chromium plated surface wire.
