SUBSTANCE: supporting structure used, for example, to support repeaters, advertising boards, beacons, windmill-electric generating plants, especially those mounted in difficult locations has sections with through vertical channels mounted one on top of other and accommodating prestressed links placed throughout its height. Sections are hollow structures with their external walls made in the form of first and second order curve and provided with sidewalls on end surfaces. Bottom sidewall of lower section and top one of upper section of supporting structure have flanges with ends of links secured in them; upper end of each link is placed closer to longitudinal part of supporting structure then lower end of this link. Sections are built of separate vertical hollow members braced together by bands and mounted over section perimeter. Link may be installed in each member of section or in some of its parts. Links may be tilted through certain angle to longitudinal axis of supporting structure and arranged in different plains; tilting angles of links are symmetrical to center line of supporting structure. On outer surface of external walls sections may be round, elliptical, triangular, polygonal in cross-sectional area or their cross-section may be in the form or any of these figures with ribs uniformly projecting over perimeter.
