detection and identification of sources of radioactive radiation. SUBSTANCE: portable radiometer-spectrometer has two channels to record nuclear radiation. In this case gamma-channel is made of scintillation crystal conjugate to photoelectric multiplier whose output is coupled to microprocessor system through amplifier of first channel and analog-to-digital converter. Neutron channel includes neutron detector coupled via amplifier of second channel and discriminators to microprocessor system with outputs to display and computer. Portable radiometer-spectrometer is supplemented with stabilization system incorporating light-emitting diode conjugate to photoelectric multiplier and connected to current pulse generator whose input is coupled to output of microprocessor system, with amplification stage controlled by microprocessor system and digital temperature-sensitive element whose output is coupled to microprocessor system. EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities of radiometer-spectrometer thanks to elimination of necessity of systematic calibration of gamma-channel. 1 dwg
