The height of the rail upper edge of the track section on the traverse(1) is on the level of the track network of the track system and with it the height above the rail upper edge of the still operated rolling road is maintained. Consequently, passage is ensured of loaded low-floor vehicles(5) through the clearance determined by bridges and tunnels. In the centre of the track traverse is installed a multi-functional element(2) which on one side supports the traverse in the middle by a ball or roller bearing, and on the other side in the cylindrical space are units for fine positioning and locking of the low-floor vehicle and for separation from adjacent wagons.
