A method, system and network for coordinating the communication of data in a health network, and between the health network and a banking network, for a health-related transaction. In accordance with the present invention, a processor (100) creates and maintains an electronic record of a health-related transaction by providing or transmitting an original transaction authorization or transaction denial for that health-related transaction. All activity for that health-related transaction is electronically linked via the electronic record to the original transaction authorization or transaction denial. The present invention makes all data and activity for the health-related transaction available to parties to that transaction, in real-time. The present invention also provides for line-by-line reconciliation between and among the insurance provider, a health care provider (60), an insured (90), and a financial services provider. The present invention further provides for secure transmission of clinical or other sensitive patient (insured) (90) data between health care providers (60) and other participants of the health network.
