A circulating pump for a heating / cooling circuit in an internal combustion engine motor vehicle, has an integral control valve (V), within the pump housing (G). Valve (V) is a positionable rotary actuated temperature control valve which allows a heat exchanger / cooler, connected between A2 and Z1 to be by-passed by directing the liquid directly from inlet Z2 to port A1, for example to speed engine warm-up to optimum operating temperature at the start of a journey.
