<p>Effluent from a septic tank is trickled through a first filter canister (20). The filtered effluent is recycled through the filter. A small amount of the recycling effluent is directed to a drip irrigation system (47). A second filter canister (22) also receives some of the recycling effluent. The fluents from the two filter canisters are permitted to combine prior to further recycling.</p>
