An organic electroluminescent device comprises an anode, a semiconductor layer, an organic luminescent medium, and a cathode. Assuming that a first electrode is either an anode or cathode and a second electrode is the other, an organic luminescent medium is provided between the first electrode and a semiconductor layer with no single-crystal material, and the second electrode is connected electrically with an edge of the semiconductor layer. Since the first and second electrodes do not face each other, various electrode materials can be used, and the luminescent area increases, thus providing a brighter organic electroluminescent device.
|
