The invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing: a) 5 to 99 wt. % of a block copolymer which is constructed of hard blocks S comprised of vinyl aromatic monomers and constructed of one or more statistical soft blocks B/S comprised of dienes and of vinyl aromatic monomers; b) 1 to 95 wt. % of a plasticizer with a higher polarity than that of white oil and with a lower polarity than that of diisooctylphthalate; c) 0 to 50 wt. % of a polyolefin, and; d) 0 to 60 wt. % of additives, whereby the sum of a) through d) equals 100 wt. %. The invention also relates to the use of the shaping materials for producing flexible and elastic shaped bodies as well as to the shaped bodies produced therefrom.
