A central integral aerodynamic lift adjustment unit (3) capable of operating at the center of pressure in a modular construction aircraft, in which several independently operable propulsion units (2,4) may be arranged one after the other along the major axis of the aircraft. The propulsion units may be solid propellant rocket motors. The Center of Pressure is the point of the aircraft at which the resultant air lift force can, for design purpose, be considered to act.
