PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components and assembling man-hour by pressing a contact member into a second groove in a secondary block insulator, and using a conductive plating layer as a ground transmission passage with a substantially U-shaped cross section. SOLUTION: A contact insulator 20 for a signal comprises a primary block, a conductive plating layer 51-1 on its entire surface, and five kinds of analogous L-shaped secondary blocks. Five kinds of analogous storing grooves (first grooves) for storing respective secondary blocks are formed in the front surface, the right surface, and the bottom surface of the primary block so that these secondary blocks are inserted into the primary block. Grooves (third grooves) 55-1, 55-2 are respectively formed in the upper and lower ends of the front surface of the primary block. L-shaped receptable contact members 15 with a plurality of cores are respectively inserted into second grooves of the secondary blocks, and thereby, a contact block for a signal is provided.
