PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated wire having an attractive appearance (harmonized with a scenic view) harming no scenic view, by providing a luminous resin layer comprising a resin composition made to contain a substance emitting light by an electric field right above a conductor. SOLUTION: This insulated wire 1 is equipped with a luminous resin layer 3 comprising a resin composition made to contain a substance emitting light by an electric field right above a conductor 2. Since the luminous resin layer 3 emits light by receiving the electric field on the luminous substance composing the resin composition from the conductor 2, the insulated wire 1 emitting light by the electric field is formed. Therefore, if the insulated wire 1 is used in a visible place where people gather, the insulated wire 1 can functions as illumination. In addition, since the insulated wire 1 can select the luminescent color by selecting the kind of luminous substances, it can cope with multicolored designs.
