PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid makeup cosmetic having excellent spreadability and adhesivity to the skin, compression moldability, water absorption and oil absorption and a reduced amount of a binder formulated. SOLUTION: This cosmetic comprises 10-80 wt.% of cellulose fine particle and/or a cellulose complex fine particle having 0.2-20μm average particle diameter and <=1.3 L/D (L is the major axis of the cellulose fine particle and D is the minor axis of the cellulose fine particle). Preferably the cellulose has <=100 average polymerization degree, <=0.1 fraction of cellulose I type crystal component and <=0.4 fraction of cellulose II type crystal component.
