摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in the dynamic range of a broadcast signal by executing modulation according to a prescribed modulation system, through the use of a main signal generated based on information source data and the output signal of an auxiliary signal modulation circuit. SOLUTION: An oscillation frequency control circuit 20 controls an RF signal oscillation circuit 16 and controls a random number sequence generating circuit 27 for changing an initial value for generating a random number sequence, depending on which frequency an RF output signal 19 is to be emitted. The random number generation initial value depending on the frequency of the RF output signal 19 is set in the random number sequence generating circuit 27. A pilot carrier is subjected to BPSK(binary phase shift keying) modulation by a value corresponding to the frequency positions of the respective pilot signals CP and SP. The respective carriers of transmission control signals TMCC and two additional information are PBSK-modulated by making the carrier phase of an OFDM symbol at the head of a frame which corresponds to the frequency position. Thus, a situation where all the phases of the carries of CP, SP, TMCC and additional information match is avoided.
