PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce voltage drop and heat generation caused by a current charging a power cable and to equate the potential of a metal tape strip of a shield tape to that of a metal sheath. SOLUTION: A shield tape 7 laterally wound on the outer circumference of a cable core 1 is made up by sticking together four soft aluminum tape strips about 10 mm wide and about 0.1 mm thick on one side of a semiconductive tape about 80 mm wide formed by topping a woven fabric with a semiconductive rubber. On the lateral winding layer of the shield tape 7, a water-absorbing semiconductive tape 3 is helically gap-wound in the opposite direction of the laterally winding direction of the shield tape, and a metal sheath 4 of corrugated aluminum sheet. etc., is provided on the shield tape 7 so that its trough parts 4a make contact with a metal tape strip of the shield tape 7 left exposed by the gap winding. |
