PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image free from color deviation by preventing contraction of an intermediate transfer drum even under the low temp. environment and preventing slip between a photoreceptor drum and the intermediate transfer drum. SOLUTION: Relating to this image forming device the ambient temp. of an intermediate transfer drum 5 is detected by the temp. sensor 40, the controlling device 42 makes a heater 41 heat, based on the temp. information detected by the temp. sensor 40, and in the case of judging that the ambient temp. on the intermediate transfer drum 5 periphery is lower than the set value, the intermediate transfer drum 5 is heated. In such a manner, the image free from the color deviation can be obtained by preventing a slip in the primary transfer nip part T1 between the photosensitive drum 1 and the intermediate transfer drum 5, and preventing the contraction of the surface layer 5a on the intermediate transfer drum 5 even under the low temp. environment. |
