PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code generation system generating grammar based on input specification, updating grammar in a system and generating a code when specification described by a form different from that which the system regulates is inputted. SOLUTION: A code generation system 1 is composed of an input device 2 inputting an input specification following a prescribed form and the input specification of a new form, a code generation device 3 generating a code from specification inputted by the input device 2 and an output device 4 outputting the code. When the specification of the new form is inputted, the code generation device 3 analyzes the inputted specification, refers to stored inner data structure, generates grammar, and updates stored grammar into grammar corresponding to new specification. Thus, the code is generated from the specification of the new form.
